Just in time for Voltron's 30th anniversary celebration, Van Nuys, Calif. toy maker Toynami, Inc. announces it has acquired the license to produce toys and collectibles for the Classic Media and World Event Productions brand. Toynami, who takes over the Voltron license from Mattel, Inc., is no stranger to the Voltron brand, having previously produced a wide array of Voltron merchandise including bookends, block-style figures, and die-cast collectibles. The toymaker's plans for 2014 include a 24-inch Jumbo Voltron and a high-detail transformable die-cast collectible, among others.
